Full Job Description:
Designing analog and mixed-signal ICs for Power Management Products utilizing leading-edge sub-micron BiCMOS /DMOS technologies. Products to be designed may include switching regulators and controllers, battery chargers and monitors, motor control drivers, LED drivers, audio amplifiers, hot-swap switches, and PMIC SoC for fast-growing portable and non-portable markets such as artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, Internet-of-Things, smartphones, servers, computers, medical and robotics.
Recruit and train the design team to execute product development according to company procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Works on product definition, circuit synthesis from the transistor/resistor level up to the system level, simulations, layout supervision
- Perform PVT corners and Monte-Carlo analysis, top-level AMS simulations, and post-layout parasitic analysis
- Participates in the entire product development cycle, from product definition through product release
- Assists ATE development with Design-For-Test methods
- Oversees and mentors junior engineers
- Supervise and train the design team for successful design execution
Required skills:
- Understand switched-mode power design techniques
- Understand power conversion architectures such as buck, boost, etc.
- Understand analog and mixed-signal circuits including amplifiers, bandgap, data converters, etc.
- Understand power converter control schemes as such voltage mode, current mode, etc.
- Understand analog layout techniques
- Understand general IC qualification requirements
Qualifications:
- BSEE / MSEE with 10+ years of Semiconductor and/or Analog circuit design experience.
- Good verbal and written skills.
