The Premium Audit Advisory Service (PAAS) is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Manager like you with excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

This position will primarily focus on completing workers’ compensation projects involving the creation and maintenance of the current PAAS database. If you are an experienced premium auditor who is looking for a different perspective on the profession, check out this opportunity to join our team.

Your key responsibilities include writing, publishing, and maintaining PAASbase content, conducting training seminars and webinars, responding to technical consultations from premium auditors and underwriters working for subscribing companies, and chairing 1-2 PAAS panels.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring rating bureau sites, NCCI, and independent bureaus, for communications affecting premium audit and communicating the changes to PAAS customers,
  • Create and maintain PAASbase content including classification guides, bulletins, and rating information,
  • Conduct presentations, seminars, and webinars for premium audit professionals for audiences of over 100 attendees,
  • Provide technical assistance for premium auditors and underwriters of member companies by responding to their classification and rule interpretation questions;
  • The ability to act as the chairperson for one or two PAAS panels.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar work experience,
  • APA and CIPA designations are desirable,
  • Expert level of understanding of workers’ compensation classifications and rules with at least a working knowledge of general liability and commercial automobile,
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in premium audit showing increased responsibility,
  • The ability to work from home with minimal supervision,
  • Balance achieving individual goals and being a team player,
  • Ability to travel – currently PAAS managers’ travel is approximately 10% of the time,
  • Be an innovative thinker when finding solutions to problems or recommendations for new PAAS products.
